CT Public School celebrated the 66th Independence Day in the school premises to mark India’s Independence from the clutches of the British who ruled over our motherland for 200 years after inflicting great atrocities on the Indians. Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group of Institutions was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He was given a wonderful floral shower and a bouquet accompanied with the invigorating tune of the bagpipers. The program began with a patriotic group song sung by the primary students.
The flag hoisting ceremony took place with the sound of the bugles ringing in the air. A beautiful Nukkad Natak or street play was performed by the students imparting the message to the world that the Earth is on the verge of extinction as man who is considered the most dangerous animal on earth is gnawing at the very vitals of the earth because of his ruthless attitude towards nature, animals, birds, girls and even moral values and culture.
He considers his supremacy over all the other creatures and forgets that he shares this planet with them. This street play came in the form of a competition among the four houses of the school. The students performed the Nukkad Natak with great devotion and vibrancies and were successful in conveying the message of love for the fellow creatures and saving the planet from extinction. The students pledged that they would perform their duty to safeguard their planet for the future generation. It was a tough competition as all the participants rendered their role in a very expressive and wonderful manner.
Kindergarten and primary students sang patriotic song with great dedication and a colourful folk dance was also presented. After all the presentations, the Chief Guest Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi in his Presidential address, applauded the participants for their exuberant performance and exhorted the students to move on the path of righteousness and not let the struggle of the freedom fighters go waste.
Dr. Manoj Kumar, CT Group Director also addressed the students and advised them to fight against the vices prevalent in our country. Principal, Mrs. Ranjana Rajput presented the vote of thanks and appreciated the wonderful performance and earnest efforts made by the students and teachers. In the end the National Anthem was sung with great fervour and devotion and sweets were distributed to the children.

Aug 13, 2013Karate, a game of self defence which includes strength, might, presence of mind and skill, is adopted by many schools. On 10th August the 4th Open Karate Championship was held in the premises of CT Public School in which many schools participated. It was an exciting event in which the players showed their valor and strength. They excelled in their attacks and defence. St. Josephs, Apple Orchids, STS World School, British Olivia, NC Model School and a school from Muktsar participated in the championship. The gold medal was won by Maitrai, Gautam Bhawish Prabhakar, Abhinav Wadera, Kevin, The second position was acquired by Naveen, Pranav, Sangam Chopra, Hrithik Mahajan while the bronze medal was acquired by Shurut, Nishant, Karan, Pukhraj, Ankit, Gaurav and Paramveer Singh Lidder. The Principal of the school Mrs. Ranjana Rajput applauded the participants for the excellent performance and urged all the students to learn Karate which has become the need of every individual especially girls for their self defence in the society. She congratulated the Karate coach Mr. Sudesh for his dedication in teaching the children to use Karate as a means of defiance against lethal attacks.

Aug 6, 2013A Team of Mc Donalds visited the premises of CT Public School and brought cheer to the students. The students were exhilarated to shake hands with Mr. Ronald Mc Donald who in his colourful and attractive attire attracted and thrilled the students with his ranks, games, magic wit and humour.
It was an exciting experience for the students to interact with him. Mr Ronald Mc Donald visited the school to bring an awareness among the students about the scarcity of water, global warming, depletion of ozone, extinction of animals etc.
He discussed with the students, their role in safeguarding the interest of their Mother Earth. They also promised to be responsible citizens. Mr. Mc Donald in his introductory speech said that he was overwhelmed to receive a warm welcome by the CT Management. The Principal, Mrs, Ranjana Rajput was impressed by the wonderful interaction session which the students of CT had with the Mc Donaldf family. She expressed her elation to see the promising young students who would take constructive steps to safeguard the environment.
Aug 5, 2013Sahodaya Inter School Basket ball tournament hosted by CT Public School, commenced on 1stAugust and concluded on 3rdAugust. As many as 43 teams hailing from Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala and Phagwara converged at the venue for the astounding and wondrous matches comprising of 27 boys teams and 16 girls Teams.
The teams were divided into pools and on 1st August, Knockout matches were played. On 2ndAugust , eight teams found their place in the semifinals. The final matches were between Police DAV and DPS in the boys team and Apeejay (Ramamandi) and Apeejay (Mahavir Marg) in the girls team. In the boys category, DPS team was declared the winner while in the girls category Apeejay (Ramamandi) team got the first position and CTPS bagged third position both in boys and girls category.
Principal, Mrs. Ranjana Rajput congratulated the winning teams and applauded their team effort and sportsmanship. She also congratulated the efforts of the sports incharges for the strenuous efforts in conducting the tournaments.
Aug 3, 2013An inspirational and interactive workshop on the art and science of good parenting and interactive was hosted by CT Public School on 30th July. This workshop was organised under the aegis of Independent school sahodaya complex. Dr Divya S. Prasad and Dr. Harprit Kaur, the resource persons gave valuable information on good parenting, continuous and comprehensive evaluation and career guidance.
They advocated that parents should understand the needs and interests of their wards and impart value education to them and help them to cope with the day- to –day challenges and promoting life skills and values in the family environment. This workshop was attended by many CBSE schools and parents too.
In this workshop, the parents were taught various skills and techniques to handle their wards in complex situations. Many queries of the parents were resolved. Mrs. Ranjana Rajput, Principal of CT Public School, in her address stressed the need to organize such workshop which would help the parents in the better understanding of the CCE pattern functioning of system.
Jul 30, 2013CT Public School organized Inter-Class Poetry Recitation Competition on 20th July for the students of I-III. The students worked hard to compete with their own classmates. There were five participants from each section and each competition tried to outshine the others. The confidence and expression of each child was noteworthy and left the audience stupefied with administration. The students used English and Hindi language as their medium of expression. The judges were Mrs. Sunanda Mehta and Mr. Dhiraj and they found it difficult to make their judgment as the competition was very tough Harsimar Kaur, Manini, Ambreen, Mannat, Akshita & Suhas stood first while Kashvi, Aradhaya, Jasmine, Khushi, Gurshaman, Simarpreet & Pragti and Anmol, Naisha, Armaan, Sneha Bansal, Birkaran, Bharmehak & Tinisha were second and third. Mrs. Ranjana Rajput congratulated the winners and told the students to take part in such activities enthusiastically which would help them to take up greater challenges in life.

Jun 11, 2013The sizzling heat of the summer which forces one to remain indoors could not bind the students of CT Public School as a wonderful, entertaining and exciting summer camp was organized for them. The children filled with exuberance rushed to the school at 7:30am to be a part of the fun-filled week which started from 3rd June and came to a closure on 11th June. Even the tiny-tots could not refrain themselves from participating in the camp as it promised them a lot of entertainment which would teach them to utilize their holidays fruitfully. The students attired in colourful garbs participated enthusiastically and learnt many creative things in craft classes. Children enjoyed dips and splashes in the cool waters of the swimming pool. Children were helped with their projects and homework. Apart from this, there was a camp organized for the scouts and guides in which they were taught many exercises and to develop their love and devotion for the service of the nation. The Scouts and Guides would be given district level certificates which would be useful in their future. The tiny-tots learnt dining etiquette, swimming and enjoyed aerobics on music. The main attraction was the Animal Planet created by the students and teachers. They created an essence of the animal kingdom and taught the CTians to foster love for animals and help to preserve nature as these creatures are slowly disappearing from the face of Earth. This camp was systematically organized and well-coordinated with the sincere efforts of the Principal Mrs. Ranjana Rajput and the staff members. The parents greatly applauded the efforts of the school which always initiates to generate good values to their wards through curricular and co-curricular activities.
